seems like its doing fairly well
I'll put some money together and donate soon.
Why would this be going towards the Forum? It's not at all? I don't think you understand. This is for charity, people who can't afford what we can.
All donations go 100% to the chosen non-profit organization, person that needs money for a life threatening illness, or something along that manner, after the PayPal fee is deducted. Anyone who donates has a voice in selecting who the money will be donated to. All money will remain in the account for a minimum of two weeks before being transferred, to prevent unauthorized donations. Should any donation be reversed, the reversed balance will be deducted from the next donation balance.

I don't want to be a buzzkill for people trying to do some good but doesn't this seem like a sketchy way to donate to charity? Why not just donate directly to the charity that the staff comes up with, it's just asking for trouble to have more people with their hands on the money before it gets where it's going.
To clarify, Arun is the only one with access to the website, and the account. This method maximizes the entire communities donations, with the entire communities consent, building up a large collection fund which will be used at specified intervals ($500) with the input of each individual.
Whats the point of the paypal though? If you just posted the name of a charity people could just send their money there. There is no advantage to intervals unless you want to get the fancy handbag for donations of $500 or more.
There's a lack of uniformity and Community in that sense though. In this manner we can each contribute, and utilize the money to the fullest extent. For example;
Give to Charity I -
Person A - $10
Person B - $1
Person C - 60$
Where as here we can withhold funds as the need arises, securing a large amount of money, with a sense of being able to work together. We are helping others, teaching life skills, building a stronger community, and maximizing our potential. It makes much more sense to gather up money than have a lack of interest and give a few dollars. I completely see your point though, I just hope this helps clarify to others.
i need money for a flight to evelyn and condoms
$500 should cover it
