1) That's probably because you started out on the xbox.

2)PS has the God Of War series, the Metal Gear Solid Series, Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance it also now has Mass Effect 2 and is slated for a simultaneous release of ME3 with xbox and pc.

3) That is hardly an argument. Quantity doesn't substitute quality.

You don't need ME1. ME1 is like a prologue. Everyone knows ME2>ME1. Thats like saying Halo is useless without Reach. Just because its first in a story arc doesn't make it a necessity.
