Unless you sit around zipping and unzipping files all day, or rendering videos 24/7, there is really no need for all that extra power.

Far from it. 1090t may be the "best" cpu intended for the mainstream market and as such it does it's job wonderfully. In its price range it beats the crap out of pretty much anything else.

Or if you're a gamer and you don't need that extra power. As is most of MPGH. I doubt most of MPGH would use more than 50% of a t1055
