I do. The internet is a free source of information. This goes beyond pirating and to any supposed copyright infringement. Copyright infringement in turn revolves around the concept intellectual property. The ideology behind i.p. is all fine and dandy, but the legal definition is rather convoluted and ambiguous.
I'm pretty sure their not going to go after EVERY website using their logo or something. IMO most don't even care as long as you're not using it to make money.
Technically, it's illegal to make "Hackintoshes" but Mac dgaf as long as your not running a Hackintosh business.
But so-called copyright infringement is very easy to take advantage of. I have seen hundreds of youtube videos taken down over these claims even though they are for entertaiment/education purposes only, and do not make any profit from the content. This is supposed to make them exempt.
Instead of getting them taken down, they should pay them.
YouTube guy showing off product > video gets 100k+ views > people buy it > company gets money
Why not sponsor them? Shit. If somebody took a song I made and got 1mil views, I wouldn't be mad, I'd pay the nigga.
