Do colleges look at 9th grade?

I didn't really do much in grade 9, I did enough to pass all of my classes but most were 70-65 except for english.
I didn't really go alot because I worked on my social life and sports, and now that I'm in grade 10 I'm 85 ( except for math I'm 74 percent Q.Q) or above in every single class, so someday when I go to college/university will those post educations look at my 9th grade grades or even care?

Yea, I came from an extremely small middle school but I was a pretty known kid there, and once I hit highschool I didn't care about my freshman grades, but now that I'm about to go to grade 11 I'm starting to worry if those choices will haunt me in the future.

No, not really. You're making a transition from having recess 2 times a day and a 45 minute lunch to having 5 minute breaks between classes and an hour lunch + longer periods. I'd say 11-12 is more of a defining factor grade wise.

Colleges depending on the competitiveness will look at different things, it also depends on the the admissions officer. I know for that Ivy Leagues here in the US 9th grade counts for very little and they don't expect much and 10th, 11th, and 12th matter much more particularly 11th grade. Just do the best you can in 11th and make your life as hard as possible by volunteering, doing clubs, and extracurricular activities etc.

If you can get into the Canada equivalent of state college, you'll be fine. Most employers want a relevant bachelor's degree and I've heard talk that employers hire more college grads who had a degree from a lesser college, because they see it as less of a large asset to deal with.

However, putting in effort doesn't hurt.

Junior year is the most important in the States. It's when you take the most APs and the hardest classes.

Depends where you go. Some only look at GPA/SAT/ACT.

Well technically, they look at your entire transcript. But what you want to worry about most is Sophomore-Senior year. Although you apply to colleges usually in late Junior year. Junior year is the one you want to choose to really, really, really focus on school. You want to have a shit-load of AP/honors classes, colleges look for that. Also you need to score well on your state/SAT testing, they mostly look at that too. Keep your GPA up (remember extra classes during the summer or during school raise your GPA and AP/honors classes also raise your GPA).

They don't care. (Edit: they do care, but there are ways around it, like good test scores, or doing good for the rest of highschool)

I fucked around Freshman and Sophomore years and took Junior and Senior half seriously, and I'm still going to a big time university.

Although I did score really well on my ACT, so that probably had more to do with it than my in-school grades.

Well it does hurt your overall GPA, so it does hurt you in the long run. It isn't as important if they look at individual grades, but your overall GPA was probably hurt pretty bad.
