NEED YOUR HELP! SOTW Information Format

Although i'm not really known in this section, since I'll try to participate in future SOTWs I feel I should give my 2 cents.

I like the idea of 2 separate SOTW for the more advanced and the beginners, but what a someone really good just stays in the beginner SOTW, and has the skill to move up but keeps winning back to back?


And as for taking our awards/ winnings to our respective section, we'd have to tell the Sectional Mods so they won't lock/delete/move it because its Spam/Off-Topic.

But the main thing that'll bring people is the prizes, but that I'll leave to the GFX Team.

Well the rules say you can't win back to back challenges also about the posts being off topic I guess that's true and we could do that.

This, and we would probably implement a system of eventually moving people who are improving up to the higher SOTW. Like leagues.

Well yes, but we can't let classing become a thing. It was a fad that died off because it caused too much drama. What we should do is have the same entry thread but have seperate voting threads. After the entry deadline and before the voting begins we should have an assessment of each entrant and where they should be entered. Obviously it'd be more complicated and perhaps we could have further contest for people to enter a higher tier SOTW. I don't really know but these are ideas.

That's a good idea Doc. Maybe throw in better prizes for the higher level GFXers. But that may start drama also.

I don't think high level people really need prizes. At least I know none of the ones in this section care for them.

Nailed on the head. But obviously if this becomes a thing then the more people entering may call for something "better".

I don't know if this idea has been posted already (cbf to read all the posts), but here's my idea:

Every SOTW winner can choose one of the GFX Team members and have him make an avatar and a signature for him.
Although it kinda doesn't make sense since SOTW winners mostly have pretty decent skills to make good tags for themselves.

I honestly don't know man. Maybe I'll do it this weekend maybe not. I think we should have one soon, but I'm not sure the best way to get publicity about it. Part of me thinks that something better could be done with the WHOLE of MPGH but still with a graphic flare. Perhaps repurposing some of this section for something a bit more grandeur. Any ideas? I can run a quick SOTW this weekend and announce it on the portal. Have a small Steam Gift as a prize. See how many people it brings in.

Sooo, is this still going to be a thing? Because frankly, this section is dead beyond belief...
It'd be nice to bring back SOTW.
But who other than me wants to bring it back and also who would want to host it?
...that's beyond me.
