I'm looking for a bang for the bucks

Well my goal is to run battlefield 3 on medium to high settings. fuck ultra, can't afford that. So no definite budget but can you guys post some either pre-built computers or a list of components that make it up? Preferably Desktop since I have a 24 inch HD monitor. 500 GB of Memory would be enough. Ram around 6 maybe 8 would be nice too. I'm not really an expert on CPU's or Video Cards / GPU's which is why I kind of need help. Anyways, any help is appreciated. Thanks, Phil.

Recently CyberpowerPC raised all their products prices by like 200$. Do you know why? I was keeping my eye on this GUA888 or something like that, it was like 510$ at first, REALLY good deal and deciding whether to get it, like 2 weeks later it shot up to 690$.

Well, we all know Alienware sucks, and is REALLY expensive, why not try a NewEgg?

About to look into that. I was looking at CyberpowerPC like you suggested and came across this build: Mega Special I
Now without ANY changes with the components which you're allowed to customize, how is the build? I didn't make it and apparently it's one of their BEST buys (I'm assuming) since it has about 1.8k reviews and almost all are 5 star testimonials. Whut do you think?

I saw this benchmark of how many FPS the processor/Memory could handle and I came across this:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (normal) 82
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (high) 82
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (extra) 81
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty (medium) 75
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty (high) 68
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty (ultra) 65
    FurMark Benchmark 52

    That's pretty good considering it's $635.

    Also came across this: Newegg.com - CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 2140 Desktop PC AMD FX-Series FX-6100(3.3GHz) 8GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity Nvidia Geforce GT 610 1GB Windows 8
How is this? I noticed it was windows 8 which is probably why it's cheaper. Windows 8 Is Not Good For Gamers
According to Valve, Windows 8 is a catastrophe for gaming.
If I got that, would there be a good way to get a version of windows 7 instead? doesn't matter if it's crack or official as long as it's cheap and functional (without many bugs)?

Haha, I bet Windows 8 would be like Vista, using up all the memory & resources. So i'd stick with the Mega Special l, but if you know how, you could down-grade some Windows 8. Thus, saving you money.

Do you plan to buy a prebuilt PC or are you going to build one yourself?

Doesn't really matter, which ever is the better buy, better buy as in greater quality for less.

Good god, do not buy those prebuilts. They are horrible.

Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg
    +
    Newegg.com - ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
    =
    $775

I play BF3 on ultra with my 7870. It is overclocked though.

You could go for a 2500k/3570k + Z77 mobo if you spend a bit more.

If you can, build your own. Much cheaper.
