"Thank me if you agreed with me" <----My favorite one. Shouldn't this be considered abuse of the system. It defeats the purpose. If someone thinks you deserve a thanks, then they will give it to you. Simple as that. Also, people shouldn't pride themselves on thanks. They don't mean anything...

Back when I used to make CA .rez mods I would say "Press Thanks if you like like the mod.", because I spent an 1-3/4 hours working on a mod to get it perfect (as I see fit) before I release. Then I'd get 500+ downloads and 2 Thanks. Of course it isn't mandatory, but it shows appreciation to the contributor.

Except if you're in General, the best way to get "Thanks" is to insult someone. (As proven by Doc, Ethereal, Lehsyrus, etc)

Your story didn't really prove anything except that asking for thanks gets you nowhere. If you have to ask for thanks, then you obviously don't deserve it. At least most of the time. Your story being an exception of which. Honestly, If I see someone who actually put some work into their upload or it helped me out, then I'll thanks. If I see "Thanks me, please.", then I don't. Also, I'm slightly bagging more on those who that shit in their sigs. I would have thanked you though

I used to post glitches all the time, thread would get 200-300 views but only 1-2 thanks
