If you want to solo J6 or Nulgath, yes it is.

You can't solo them with Thief of Hours. Thief of Hours's last skill only causes the monster to kill itself (and not you killing the monster). If you accept the guild boss challenge quest for Nulgath, you won't receive the drop for "killing" Nulgath.

Hey, no problem. It's a common misconception. At release time, I tested it out immediately because the skill would have made high damage bosses pointless.

I used it in both PvP and PvE. I must say in PvP it's pretty cool, despite you must know how to use the third skill, since it like doubles the crit for both of the players. I used it for 1 day. I battled 20 people and have 11-9 (w-l). In PvE, it's good too, but have some disadvantage.

Pyromancer has a percent to win of 75%, like second to VoT 90%. At least that's what i read on the forum.

MUch better in soloing and PvP.
