And a Windows 7 (or whatever you want) disc to put on after the restore.

If you insert the windows 7 disc there should be an option to restore.

Wait, he said completely wipe it.
So restoring to windows isn't completely wiping it as previous windows file are kept.
If you're wanting to reinstall windows though, just carry on with what the other guys are telling you to do ;D

You could just shoot it with a .45.... 50 cal would also work...

If you are looking to completely wipe the drive, a simple short pass with DBAN will do the trick. You can download it for free online and burn it to a CD. Boot from CD and pick a quick option unless you are really interested in wiping it completely and irrecoverably clean.
