The kid probably never used the gun more than once or twice. And I doubt you have either.
A .22 might knock you off your feet yes, but as I was trying to say as long as you aren't hit in a kill spot your adrenaline will kick in and you would have a chance of running behind some sort of cover while hes chambering the next round. If you dont break down and panic that is.
I understand if you are hit in the head with a .22 though, the round won't have the penetration power to leave an exit wound on the other side of the skull, so the round will basicly bounce around and tear your brain up.

My post wasn't trying to say a .22 is a useless round, but more so that the woman had no survival skills (again, that being if he didnt hit a kill spot the first time)

they have a 'disorder' for anything these days, what it really is a temper tantrum and it's their decision to let their kid own a firearm when he obviously isn't mature enough. i've owned an AR15 (high powered semi-auto assault rifle) since I was 14 and multiple other firearms and I never had any issues with them but that's because I was responsible enough for them.
