Nope, on that account I was just here for some hacks, I finally remembered I had a account after 2 months of making this one but I couldn't remember the pass or email.

Btw, I just glanced over your old JetaOS bootsector post. Wouldn't it have been better to make it a 2 stage loader, first being FAT12/16 to load the second stage which would do the diagnostics, load GDT and stuff like that?

How did your design for the microprocessor work in the end? Making progress or was it just an assignment?

JetaOs was written a very long time ago - and has many flaws.

Ofcourse it would've been better, but it also would've been loads more complex, and JetaOS was just a hacky hobby project (as any are these days that aren't based off of linux.) That sort of design decision hadn't ofc come up yet either (what filesystem would I put my kernel on?) - neither was it important. I would have moved to grub anyways.

I got a fair bit done on the microprocessor, but trashed it because I hadn't written it in verilog which made it a pain to have maintainable. I am going to implement a different Achitecture (DCPU instruction set) on an FPGA I have with verilog later.
