Sure, if you forget about that region of the world that has constantly been at war for the past ~1600 years because they can't agree on whose imaginary friend is better, and when they do agree, how to worship it. (Just to mention one, even though that one is actually thousands of groups of humans.)

America may be fucked up quite a bit, but that has to be one of the stupidest statements I have ever seen, even for the internet. Every single group of humans that existed pre 1700's is more ignorant than America at any point in time.
