I haven't seen anyone openly state that they're depressed lately. That being said, even if they are legitimately drowning in the emptiness of their soul, how does that bother you? If their glass is half-empty try cheering them up and filling the other half of the glass? I'm almost certain you didn't consider what they go through or the reason(s) that they are in the state they are in. Furthermore, to answer your question, no, I do not dislike "depressed people," simply because they are depressed or are not cheerful enough to meet certain standards. They're people, too, and need the consideration a person deserves - no matter what physical or mental state they may be in.

I am insulting you because it seems like you are very, VERY ignorant about what depression is. If you want to discuss it, I have severe depression. I take pills just to keep going. It isn't a matter of "just being happy", if we could change to being happy we would. The fact is, people who have depression or severe depression have trouble with that. It's not that they are TRYING to be a raging cunt, its that, in a way, its the only thing we can be. It's what we know.

I am talking from my perspective though, everyone is different. We do not take "Happy Pills" either, that is also a misconception. These pills are to make it easier for us to change into a happier mood. We cannot just do it, we have to WANT to be happy, and even then it won't work sometimes. If you wanna know more about what it's like, I can tell you more about it, although I doubt you want to.
