John Titor is a man who claimed to be a time traveler from the year 2036. He 'recounted' a few events that occurred in his reality, a few of which have come very close to coming true. A 2015 nuclear war that wipes out nearly 3 billion people is one of the events that he's seen happen in his world, and is looking more and more likely/possible each day. Titor says that CERN discovered a method of time travel which includes the use of a black hole, using that Large Hadron Collider of theirs, smashing particles together.

Question is...
Time travel? Is he telling the truth? Is time travel real?

I wouldn't be surprised if time travel is real. Humans have yet to discover how black holes work, and how to manipulate them. But as time passes, I'm sure we'll eventually be able to time travel, but not anytime soon. As for the guy, dude gotta be smokin something. I doubt his story is true, just wants to attract attention and fame for his own personal gain. Time travel is very possible, but no one has the time and money to go to outer space and jump in a black hole. We'll never have a nuclear war, cause most of them have been deactivated and were not that stupid to go and commit suicide... I think.

Time travel gotta be real, if people say otherwise, they don't have much imagination.

I believe steins;gate dealt with the John Titor story in an interesting way.

However time travel is real, but not within human capacity, at least not for awhile.

I think Doctor Who does time travel the most correct throughout any series, but as far as humanity is concerned(only) then time-travel would be after a LOT of other things. The amount of calculations alone is beyond our highest cpu strength combined, not to mention energy requirements.

Got a ton of requirements to pass before TT becomes possible.

I'm not all set in quantum theories and the like.
It's likely very possible, but I'd like to believe that black holes isn't the way to go. As far as I know the term black hole isn't actual.

I'm no scientist but I recall it being such a dense mass, e.g. dying star, getting so much dense mass that its gravitational pull becomes so strong that it prevents anything from leaving there, including light.

No but really, scientists have theorized that travelling at the speed of light will allow spacetime to bend around you and allow you to travel in time. Travelling BACK in time, though, I would guess to be impossible. So no, I don't believe that dude.

He couldnt have time traveld back to this point because there is no time travel machine out there at this moment. If you want to travel back in time you need a machine activated now, wait xxx amount of time, then use that machine to travel to when the first one was invented. I mean, without a machine now where would you arrive? This isn't the terminator where you just appear anywhere. there has to be a specific place like in another time machine.

On the other hand there is teleportation happening already. Neil degrasse talked about it a while back but as of now youre only able to send like a neutron but like the floppy disk of a computer evolving into micro Sd cards who stors hundred of more data into them the probability of teleporting bigger objects over a larger amount of "empty space" should be not that far away.

Our sun would turn into a black hole once it goes out.
Due to its size it will implode and become a black hole, all of its mass concentrated in singular spot.

That will never change I was talking about the inside of it. For years now scientists have been documenting dormant and active "blackholes" and for a while now theyve seen that it spews out matter.

Obviously, energy isn't infinite.
Nor is the universe, it's just expanding at such a rate that we'll never reach the end.

There's a number of reasons why stuff would drop out of the massive gravity.
I assume after losing some of its energy some things would simply drop out, or because something else had entered with such a force that it managed to push something out by bumping into it. There's probably such a strong movement in there that some particles are bound to hit eachother hard enough to bump something out.

Idk it boggles my mind thinking about this stuff. I still cant believe the universe was the size of a pin before the big bang but ofcourse these are just conjectures and theories. But nature always has the tendency to go back to the way it was before so who knows if the universe will collapse in on itself and become the size of a pin needle again and then big bang and so on and so forth

Travelling forward in time is possible, we just don't have the resources to do it yet. E.g. travelling at relativistic speeds (more than 10% the speed of light).
Travelling back in time on the other hand, I doubt will be achievable within the next few centuries.
