The game itself is bad and dying out, not really expecting to see the section as active as it used to be.

The biggest improvement I've seen with Crossfire NA is the lack of hackers.. really haven't seen any.
Additionally, the streaming community has grown a bit and hopefully that gives some exposure

No, the game is beyond dead in NA thanks to the crap that happened a few years back with the SWARM of BR and Turk players ruining the pub community (and no, I'm not being racist...it's beyond verifiable at the point).

Remember how Alpha used to be full of NA players? Now if you even dare speak English you'll get kicked, and Bravo and Charlie are never full because the amount of players in the game has dwindled. And 'upgrading' (if you can even call it that) the graphics and adding a few maps that CF should have had 2-3 years ago isn't going to breathe new life into the game either...

I left, went to play Soldier Front 2(way more fun), but stopped playing that because TH players were doing the same thing (kicking NA players, rampant hacking, etc), and the extensive P2W the game has.

Left SF2 to play Dirty Bomb, which wont have the same issues since it requires a better graphics card then most of these CF and SF players can afford...for now. Also has a higher TEAM SKILL requirement than CF, where it was whoever had a silver/gold weapon with an extended clip or an AWP. Card loadouts can be purchased with IN-GAME CURRENCY or IRL money, so if you unlock a player you can buy the card that fits your play style without having to open your wallet AFTER you've played the merc for a while. And higher cards do not have more power after Bronze, just looks better.

CrossFire evolved a lot over the years. I used to play this game intensely when there were only 3 GP and ZP crates (I was playing for like 9 months after M60 Adv was released as the 4th ZP Crate). I feel like the game transitioned to heavily on Mutant and Zombie Mode. Mutation Mode was HEAVILY hyped and was REALLY popular for the first 2 or so month. After that point, the game started to die out. DSR was released and that was the end of equal releases of ZP and GP. Game started to become heavy P2W. AWM, M4, AK-47, Deagle and Kriss were all outclassed heavily by FR-F2/Upgraded AWMs, M14EBRs, M12 (GP, but still), Mausers and KTRs. The lore was abandoned (From the Ship origins, it ended with Ghost's supposed death. I think the chinese kept lore going on, but we shall never know about it. All in all, after Zombie Mode came out, the golden era of hacking and glitching came upon. This alone killed 90% of the game.

Nowadays, some people like me periodically return to the game (currently playing CF Blaze despite having a pretty good NA account with the old Perm Axe, Silver weapons etc.), but the game is bound to COMPLETELY die in the next 5 years. It's just too old, and FPS' themselves have been dying out, starting from CoD MW2, with the dying cycle ending with BF3 as the one greatest FPS game of the golden FPS era.

only 20/100 of my friends play, and na 1 and uk and usually full..

anyways, if it were to die out and come near shutdown, servers could be merged? z8 already has too many servers anyways

Thanks to UK server, this server was able to live and if they don't do the tournament for UK people, then things will probably get worst.

it might be dieing, but i dont think it only alive now because of knives. I'm a semi-pro knifer, and have trouble finding games. lack of hackers is nice these days though.
