I have another tip for you if you want to mostly unknowingly train without actually thinking about it.
Switch your games to that language, use subtitles, read and listen.

I am self-taught when it comes to English, I know it's by no means perfect, but I learned it as a child by watching TV, playing video games and listening to music.
Music + Lyrics
Movies/TV + Subtitles.
Games + General Dialogue Subtitles.

Which is also why I recommended duolingo, because it makes it repetitive without being boring and turns it into a game.

Already have games in English + subs. At childhood I had everything in english, such as Windows and a lot of programs, games.

English is probably the hardest language to learn, try speaking English to yourself or with someone.
You can get online english tutoring for pretty cheap.

Chinese is difficult to learn but not as as hard as English, its proven English is the hardest to learn.
