Last Gen Consoles and Money Drops

I've heard that theres being mass bans of people who drop money ingame. But does this apply to last gen? Currently im still a console peasant and have a PS3. If I were to pay someone to drop money for me would I get banned for it?

They should not bother about PS3 as the gen is almost finished i am waiting for PS4 to be hacked and we can do it all over again i think it be hacked by end of next year hopefully before.
