The delay wouldn't do. Same as Captcha images. Unless Dave got the vBulletin plugin that had the New reCaptcha where you just press the box and it will verify you're human for users with < 10 posts, then no that would be a bad idea to be doing any of those.

It would make a lot of sense when you stick this option to people who just started using forum, I mean like everyone is spamming but the ones who've been getting lately those are the worst who needs such kind of option, but there's noway to know who and when will strike us again.

The spam happens every once and awhile and gets taken care of quickly, not really that big of an issue.
