    Paint .Net or Gimp?

    Whats up,i cant afford to use Adobe photoshop so im stuck with Paint .net or Gimp.Im trying to find some good plugins,anybody know where to find some good ones?Im especially trying to find one for >.tga< files.Im going to try my hand at modding for the first time and need some good plugins please.Thanks to who respond and help me out.

    And yes i did google,and there are alot to choose from.I was wondering for advice on any good requests please.

    I use paint.net and it supports .tga files witout plugins. I think paint.net is better, it has a lot of plugins and is very user friendly.

    Paint.Net is, if you will, for beginners.
    On the other hand Gimp is for people who want something similar to Photoshop.

    Overall as a Photoshop user I recomend Gimp.

    i agree with this person here, but gimp has soo many windows it opens...

    i prefer to use paint.net since it's soo easier to use - without 3 windows to flick back and forths / minimising to do msn stuff ect

    also with paint.net you can get some photoshop plugins

    PST you could also just torrent photoshop from somewhere
