I don't understand why people attack certain religions. Religions don't seem to be the problem, it's mental health and ignorance. The amount of people who take what basically any spiritual/religious book says and agrees with it because it's 'holy' or some shit is completely stupid in my opinion.

There are extremists in most cultures and religions, not one of them is worse than the other. Some may get more screen time on the news, which makes them come off as worse, but the news don't show things how they necessarily really are.

If Islam wasn't as oppressive as most other mainstream religions it wouldn't be such a problem. I'm not trying to come off a super SJW-y, but let's be real here; The way the Quran tells people to live their lives is a hefty load of crap. According to some sources the Quran has 109 verses of violence in it and condemns anyone who is a nonbeliever and labels them as hypocrites and will be sent to hell for not maiming infidels. This doesn't lead to bad people, just bad ideology. Of course not everyone follows it to the letter, because if we did millions of muslims would be killing in the US. It basically just boils down to radical behavior and loving a book and its philosophy to such an extent to going against what's deemed humane.
