for me its really nice .
but what you gonna play on it .
maybe you can buy a lower price pc (if you have any money problems).
So in a few days, I will be purchasing this computer.
I have seen a lot of positive reviews about it and it seems like the best bang for the buck.
Any better recommendations would be appreciated.
What are your thoughts on this?
Yes, I know PCs are better blah blah blah.
Edit: I am also looking into this MSI.

i will vouch this computer for you , beacuse maybe when you will get bored or you will want to try some shooting game or mmorpg (high) game , so you gonna need this laptop .

It looks amazing for that price, you should buy it for sure
Why are you even getting a $1000 laptop if you're using it for minecraft and PS2 ISO's?

The GTX 960 can barely game for shit but since you aren't hardcore gaming as you said it shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know, maybe because people with, or pursuing, careers, have other stuff to do such as programming, running/testing apps, multitask a lot, and overall not wanting to worry about their computers not being able to handle their daily tasks.
If you have the money, why not?
Provides portability, which comes in really handy to me.

That laptop is quite decent for the price, a possible alternative would be an acer v nitro for the $1000 pricepoint.
