How can I access my hard drive?

Just built my gaming pc and install windows. Problem is I can't access my 1 terabyte hard drive even though it was listed in the bios. Is there anyway to make it display in "My Computer" so I can set my downloads to go there instead of my ssd?

Are you sure it is seated correctly and it is connected properly? It should show up in "My Computer" if it is. Also what type of hard drive?

fixed it, had to format it using diskpart

You need to always format your new HDD before being able to use it, its always like that when you bought one, in most cases you don't have to.
