i dont play crossfire for 5 months ago because of this problem

Have you got the latest installer? You should get it if not (take the time to download it, it worths it). Also use the latest downloader.

Uninstall the game, and be sure to manually delete any remaining file, if there lasts any. Then reinstall the game and don't launch it. Open version.ini with notepad, it should look like this:

Copy the content and save it anywhere, respecting it's form, then launch the game and see if it happens again. If so, check again version.ini, copy the content, and post it here respecting it's form too, next to the first copy you made before launching the game, distinguishing them (this is before launching, and this is after launching). It would be useful for this if you use [CODE][/ CODE] tags to put the content in, removing the space on [/ CODE], of course, and using a different pair of tags for each copy.

Download the .zip from this thread, and replace XTrap folder inside your crossfire installation with the updated XTrap folder, which is in the .zip. If it asks, choose to replace the content, of course (yes to all).

I didn't play crossfire for 6 months because of this problem
