That trick relied on the "Link account" function, not present in the client since a lot. That said, I'll just unshamefully copy-paste something I just wrote somewhere else:

I'm not sure if you can still do the linking with an old client, that doesn't make much sense. I mean, it's a function that works with accounts, where's the point in updating to work with the new appengine database since it should no longer be used?

Not possible, expoit it patched and Kabam support won't do it for you.
