The Gulf War.. again.. was not a US war, it was a NATO join operation, Iraq invaded Kuwait for rich oil sense Kuwait have a huge oil field in their country, US and other nations joined with Kuwait to quickly push back Iraq and they did.

Afghan War, actually US did commit some innocent deaths but that is not common in wars, in most cases it was misfire, friendly fire, mistakes, or suicide bombers and insurgents committing war crimes on their people to put fear.

Because the Taliban are a miltia group, like in US or any nation when invaded, people band together against the 'aggressors' in this case United States, they are a fanatic group seeking to overthrow the US government-backed government.
