I think no, because you have to buy the rechargeable battery's that are more and then you have to buy the charging station.
I was sitting around today getting in my daily 15 hours of staring at the wall when I realized... This whole time I have been using non-rechargeable batteries. At that precise moment, my mouse and Xbox One controller died simultaneously and I proceeded to slam my head on the wall until I passed out. Here I am to ask you this question after getting back into consciousness, Am I the only one that has been using non-rechargeable this whole time? And are rechargeable worth it?

I think no, because you have to buy the rechargeable battery's that are more and then you have to buy the charging station.
$20 for 20 duracell batteries. $25 for a charging station w/ 2 rechargeable batteries (no not individual batteries a replacement for the battery pack that goes into the controller)
Avg Xbox Controller Battery Life(?): about 8 hrs
8 x 10 = 80hrs (10 because 2 for each charge)
Charging station will pay for itself after one pack of 20 batteries assuming the estimations are close and prices don't change that much

Yep, the money you save overtime is totally worth it
I wouldn't even go as far as to say they'll pay off in the long run, they'll actually pay off really damn quickly.
My lazy ass I just throw the old ones out too much work to charge them.
