Neither are good, but if you had to choose between the two, I'd say Gakusen Toshi Asterisk. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is too copy and paste generic harem, and while Asterik isn't special, it's the better choice.

There are a few things that make it enjoyable but it's not really new in terms of the story.

Were you looking for some sort of magical high-school series? Irregular at magic high is considered enjoyable. The MC is about as Gary Stu is at gets but I suppose over-all it's enjoyable. Typically not something I'd recommend, but magical high-school anime isn't my usual watch.

Both were pretty awful in just about everything from plot, to characters, to basic animation quality.


:/ I can't say I'd recommend either, they are both just poor anime.
