Windows 7 Audio Device Problem? Gaming Headset Not Showing Up

so i just got a new gaming headset what i was using before to listen to PC and and chat was a surround sound and a holdable microphone now i have a actual 129$ gaming headset once i plugg it into the PC i didn't get any notice that it was plugged in and here are some of the photos of what it shows from the audio devices when i put the headset on me i can hear myself from the microphone everything i say i can like literally hear it from the speakers on my headset. I already know how to disable it but it won't let me i click on apply and press okay and the little box just sits there and doesn't go away. On top of that it's not even showing what type of gaming headset i have nor is it saying i even have a gaming headset

What headset do you have? Also, if you have your speakers plugged into your PC AND the headset, try to unplug your speakers because sometimes they can interfere with each other.

I literally cant find any support threads on any website for that headset. Only thing I can suggest is going into your device manager and seeing if it shows up in there. If it does, try to update the drivers and hope for the best.

What exactly is the problem besides it not showing what headset you have and no plug in notification? I don't understand what your trying to do in your last 2 sentences.

I've never had a headset show up there, all your headset does is use the Realtec listed and it filters the sound to the headphones when you plug it in.

As far as getting a notice when you plug something in, you should check your notifications settings by going to control panel, then click the little > at the top just to the right of where it sais Control Panel in the box and select All Control Panel Items, scroll down to realtec and make sure notofications aren't hidden. If your plugging in through a speaker system thats already hooked in through the back that has a separate headphone and mic jack you might not get that notification but it should work regardless.

Normally when i hook anything up to my PC i will get a notification but i didn't. When i plugged it in through the back of my PC i hear alot of distortion so i decided to plugg it in the front and it sounds better but still not showing up in device manger or in the sound playback (NOT USB Headset) there's nothing wrong with the headset i just got it today and you can download software for it to enhance your gaming experience. Even in the program it doesn't even show it's a playback device

afaik this is normal, i don't use USB headsets and they don't show up specifically in playback or recording nor do they show up in device manager including the one i'm using right now, they just work. All settings through the Speakers and Microphone in playback and recording tweaks work for the headset, sometimes the Microphone is a pain with the sensitivity settings and you gotta adjust it for higher quality sound, then it works.. I stream, i Skype, i TS3, i CurseVoice and i never have any problems.

I do get a notification everytime i plug/unplug through my jacks but i have notifications turned on.

It works that's not a problem. but! when i go "Unclick To Listen To This Device" that way i won't hear myself when i speak in the microphone it won't allow me to click it and save the settings. i can click on it and unclick to list to this device but when i click on "apply" it won't apply the settings i can sit there and keep clicking on that button and nothing happens it doesn't apply to saving the settings. When i click on "OKAY" it won't allow me to click that to save the settings either

Ahh thats really strange, it's like your drivers fked up or something. If you haven't already i'd suggest running windows audio playback fix it: https://support.microsof*****m/en-us/mats/audioplayback

The only other 2 things i can think of, i remember dealing with a similar but not exact problem. In properties where your messing around with Listen, goto the advanced tab and check or uncheck the box the allows application to control this device and click apply.

If none of that works, I assume you have show disabled devices checked, try messing around with defaulting and disabling certain devices, strangely enough it might work, there was an old problem with Windows where simply setting Default devices would fix various audio problems but i can't remember exactly which ones.
