They should get 1-2 year ban max.
Back in January and early February 2015 we took action after we discovered that a small number of professional CS:GO players were engaged in match-fixing. Our decision was to ban these players indefinitely from involvement in Valve-sponsored events. To clarify, the bans for these players are permanent, and players proven to have taken part in match-fixing will be permanently banned. -Valve

Derek “dboorn” Boorn
Casey Foster

Perm is pretty good, it shows what the consequences are and that others shouldn't do it. They are the first examples and should stay banned imo
Yeah i saw this when i opened up cs:go its pretty surprising valve did this.
ha, that what they get, it makes the game better now c:

They didn't have set rules before the bans as they were the first ones to get it.
I get it that they should have consequences for doing so, but then again, CSGL: https://gyazo.com/c3a1003523c75a7de0210a8c885ba6cb
Banning them was a good way to show that they aren't fucking around but to perma is a bit since there wasn't any set rules & it will def shake up anybody afterwards now.
I'm typically not a fan of perma ban. People fuck up and make bad decisions, go ahead and punish them but keep it real ffs.
Took them a couple of months to finally make a decision ever since that match fixing went down, took awhile

Yeah, I agree posts above, Valve shouldn't have banned them permanently but for like 2 years instead to give them time to think through the things they have done.
