What makes a cheat undetected?

Hey, i want to start by saying that i know how to code and have been doing it for 5 years now (not hacks). So i have made a hack (esp, trigger) and i made almost all code by my self the only thing i didnt make my self was the memory read methods which i copied from fleep (i think?). I removed all methods that wasnt used such as write, inject etc and i change location of all functions to the "main" class. what else do i need to do to make it undetected (havent tried yet, want to hear from you guys first)? I dont know much about VAC but as far as i know they are only searching for known signatures right?

it is an external hack if that matters (i dont know much about injection)

Yea i know sorry, but the thing is all threads that i found just blamed the op for not knowing how to code or said its not your hack otherwise you would know how to do it, could you link a thread(or something) with a real answer?
