To begin with, VAC doesn't ban right after hack is detected, It uses delayed ban system, so if you were banned it's because the moment you used hack in past that hack was already detected or the it's signature was saved after injecting and been analysed some time after when the hack was blacklisted, and so your acc was marked for delayed ban.

Furthermore, VAC doesn't ban for hack files, it only bans when they're being used. Surely after VAC3 was introduced it started scanning some non-game files on your system as some people discovered, but if it would ban just for what it find then my acc must be banned years ago as I have a plenty of hacks which I downloaded while making research on their code.

Moreover, this exact app, Universal Tunable Xhair, won't be detected as they'd have to mark all autohotkey scripts bannable to do so, and it will result in a huge shitstorm as many people use autohotkey scripts not even related to gaming.

On top of that, I'm personally using this script for 4 years and plan to continue using it, and it's the only script I posted on this forum which I actually use because I'm 100% sure Volvo won't ban it. Why even ban for such thing as external crosshair? It's totally harmless app which gives you not even advantage over other players but only ability to customize and adjust your gaming experience. Actually, if game developers didn't consider us gamers fully retarded the'd implement something like that by themselves built in game settings.

That was my exact thoughts when I decided to try and write some code with this functionality. Maybe Autohotkey isn't the best tool to do that, but I'm not a coder and ahk is the only language I'm familiar with enough to accomplish my goal. Well, it's not over yet, I have some more ideas which I'd like to implement, but unfortunately I have no free time for this last years, this version was almost ready in 2013, but I didn't release it because it had some minor bugs I had no time to correct and also write readme and make a demo.

It does work man! I am using it for rust as we speak! Not sure what you are doing wrong but there should be no reason for it not to work. Rust runs in fullscreen borderless mode and you cant change that so this program is perfect for it seeings the mumble overlay wont work because of the fullscreen borderless mode crap that they wont let us change ourselves

I wouldnt say that, cause you also get the crosshair when playing awp and ssg right? so there you have a small advantage. of course nothings special and also custom crosshairs are allowed anyways so its not a big deal.
