Just saying, Twitters verification service isn't only about being a Celebrity. Its about advertisements, though they won't publicly say thats the reason (Even though its in their own terms of service). They verify users who's company (Or parent company) spend over $10,000 on twitter ad campaigns in a time span. That's why all these shitty "journalists" that are nothing more than bloggers writing for obscure channels of major news networks get verified on twitter despite no one actually giving a fuck what they say.
