Secondly, Sanders isn't a Socialist, he doesn't believe in wealth redistribution, but merely that the very rich actually pay their fair share of taxes.
Thirdly, this example doesn't work at all, because it fails to take into account the scale of the inequality, and the actual gravity of the result. Even if his viewpoint were direct wealth redistribution, the child with the A wouldn't even be affected, even a child with a 500% grade wouldn't be affected.

Those it would effect would instead have a 10,000,000% grade, that would be lowered to a 1,000,000% grade.

He says he is socialist because the right slapped the label on him and he ran with it. He isn't a socialist according to the definition, he has some socialist ideals.

First with the rich paying a fair share....what is fair? Lets say there's a flat tax of 20%. If you make $1 million yearly your paying $200k taxes a year, if you make $100k yearly your paying $20k taxes a year. Currently taxes aren't flat, and Rich people already pay more % wise, but i'm just really curious whats fair? I get that not all that long ago the rich paid even more in taxes, a helluva alot more, but i wanna know what you think is fair?

Also a side note, you should look into Sanders history, i'm not sure he still supports some of his more radical past, he should probably address it himself, but interesting to read into nonetheless.

Secondly on equality. The illustration actually does work and it's far deeper than just wealth redistribution. We are all different in life and we all have different strengths and weaknesses, the idea that a kid born with an IQ that never develops past 60 as an adult can do "anything" anybody else can is dishonest. I wanna be able to jump like Michael Jordan, but guess what? I don't have the genetics for it, i can do plyo/jump training all i want and while i can dunk a ball if i work hard enough i'll never be able to do it on his level. Tough shit for me but idc, my smarts are enough to where i'm able to work in the tech industry and i make a nice enough living. This is where kids today are completely lost, it's dishonest to lie to them and tell them they are equal, your not equal to anyone and nobodies equal to you in terms of ability and talent.

I'm not saying the world should be like Gattaca and your genetics determine your job fate of the future, but at the same time i don't want to see a crappy Software Engineer getting a job over the kid that's actually smart and great at it because someone lied to the stupid kid and society had sympathy for him giving him equal credits he never earned to get a job he's not qualified for, this is ofc already happening and getting worse.

Yeah and someone over on the Trump thread posted a photoshopped pic of him having a Hitler mustache. What do you think about that? Did Trump write a book blaming an entire race for the nations problems? Is he going to attempt to exterminate an entire race through gas chambers? Is Trump really a Nazi ... which ironically, stands for National Socialist? In comparison, this isn't even as close to being as childish as that shit yet amazingly many more people are up in arms about this post.
