How long do you think amazon refunding is gonna work?

Ok so guys, I have a feeling that sooner or later Amazon will realize that they are losing too much money.. and then decide to control it.

I know that if we use a good refund service or know a good method ourself, it will always be possible.

But do you think that amazon refunds will always work as it is now and if it does get harder to refund, then there will be new methods?
Or.. do you think that it will just be so hard at a point of time that it wont be possible at all?

Ofcourse there will be genuine people having genuine problems with their items, but what if in that case Amazon starts asking for proof and stuff?

    Thank you.

We live in a world of flaws. As long as there are flaws, mistakes and errors: Amazon refunding will be possible -- someone has to take responsibility for it.

It's been like that for a LONG LONG time, I don't think it will end soon.

When it snowballs to the point that it is actually an inconvenience to them. With how cheap Amazon services are, I'd say another year or two years before they start cracking down significantly. I don't think refunds will disappear altogether but they will get much harder. They are already taking measures to reduce their shipping costs.

But any answer you get here is completely pulled out of someone's ass, no one really knows. This is never going to be a "forever" game, though.

Because they will never really know the difference between a refunder and a customer with legitimate issues, the refunding ability will never really "end". I think it'll become like Newegg where it'll be more difficult but people with experience will be able to do it with no problem.

Well. Most of the people have similar opinions here.

I'd say lookout for the time when Amazon launches it's own delivery service. That way they will have almost entire control over the order process. That is when it could become significantly tougher...

Amazon made $25 billion in q3 2015. That is above what their projected earnings were supposed to be. While it is possible that their security measures will be increased, I doubt that it will ever be too hard to do. As long as no one gets caught, it should stay the same or get slightly harder.

They will likely never stop refunding services. They are a customer based company, and doing refunds for people is a major part of customer friendliness.

that was Q3 mate, what about q4?? " E-commerce giant Amazon’s profit in the holiday quarter missed analysts’ estimates by a wide margin as operating expenses rose and growth slowed in its cloud services business.

Shares of the world’s biggest online retailer plunged nearly 15% to $542 in extended trading on Thursday."
I suppose operation expenses include illegitmate refunding as well so probably that is why they have tightened the screw a little bit.
I know they still Have made profit but much lower than expectation.

I am not sure if you are aware of the current market situation. Every company's shares are plunging currently due to oil prices. Even Google is losing its stock value, look it up. I am not aware of how many people do refunds worldwide, but even if Amazon lost like 30 million monthly due to this which is highly improbable, they still would show small concern. Right now however, the situation on the market might force them to take more security measures to max out the profits.
