Major Gas Leak in California, Now Sealed
A major gas leak near Los Angeles, California has been causing distress for all the residents for the past few months. Said gas leak has forced tens of thousands of residents to relocate to a safer area, as to prevent bodily harm and death due to the toxic fumes. Luckily, however, this gas leak has been recently sealed by a large concrete barrier.

The leak was first discovered in late October of last year, however, the problems have continued on much after said date. This leak was spilling over 1200 TONS of methane gas every day. Methane gas is an extremely potent greenhouse gas which, when breathed, can cause major health problems.

The company who let this leak happen, and continue for this long, is none other than SoCalGas. The company is currently facing a series of lawsuits, as well as major criminal charges for attempting to disguise the leak as to not have to fix it immediately. Fortunately, many state officials are currently pushing for long-term legislation on gas well safety, as to prevent a problem like this in the future.

Massive, Record Breaking Cyclone Ravages Fiji

A ginormous cyclone, easily reaching wind speeds of over 184 miles per hour (296 kilometers per hour), destroyed many parts of the tropical island of Fiji. Over 10 people were killed in the cyclone's wake, with many injured. Said cyclone, named Winston by officials, was labeled as a category 5. A cyclone of such power was too much for many of Fiji's small towns and villages, leaving them completely totaled.

The winds finally stopped nearing dawn of Sunday morning, however, this meant clean up was just starting. Being the most powerful storm that has ever been recorded in the southern hemisphere, the repercussions were astronomical. Schools and many government buildings are closed for a full week nation-wide, as well as many families being left without homes and a way to provide for themselves. Many large farms were also destroyed, leaving Fiji without a definite food source. Luckily, many of it's residents were notified of the cyclone before it's happening, which meant thousands of people could be moved into safe houses and shelters to protect against the storm.

2016 DICE Awards

The 19th annual DICE Awards are here again! 2015 has been a great year for gamers. Big games such as Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were released. The last title I mentioned won the IGN Game of the Year award, but the voting panel for this year's DICE Awards chose a different game. They decided that Fallout 4 is the winner, with three awards in total. Five games won more than one award, and two games even won three! One of them is Psyonix's Rocket League. Psyonix won The Sports game of the year award together with the DICE Sprite and 'Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay' award. Team Fortress 2 Competitive Mode?

Finally, valve has given us confimation about the long awaited competetive mode for Team Fortress 2.
Valve has told us that it would be entering beta soon and anyone who wanted to particepate in the competitive mode to join a competitive TF2 Steam group. None of the devs have given any solid informaation on when this new mode will be realesed but here are some new details on how this might pan out. This is the steam group page here:

AT&T striking back at competitors with 5G announcement!

Right out of the gates, AT&T is striking with a big announcement that it plans to start testing 5G network speeds this year.

After facing tremendous amounts of pressure from a ever so growing competitive market, AT&T has decided to open its mouth on what has been in the works for this year and have stated that they will have 5G out in the field near Austin, Texas.

Initially, Verizon had the full steam ahead approach when they announced last year that they would start rolling out 5G in 2017. AT&T took the more too early approach and stated that Verizon would not be able to push out 5G until 2018.

However, AT&T has since started talking about 5G network speeds and that they are ready to share their planned roadmap. They have stated they are working very closely with Intel and Ericsson to start testing 5G behind close doors in the spring and push it outdoors into the public late 2016.

Consumers may ask the question, What is the difference between LTE and 5G? Well, AT&T has stated they expect to deliver speeds up to 10 to 100 times faster than the current 4G speeds. AT&T has also went ahead and stated that 5G will have a dramatic decrease in lag between perhaps pressing that button to load your favorite webpage or trying to play that video you have so desperately been trying to watch.

AT&T believes that with the new 5G network this opens the door to a whole new range of wireless advantages and possibilities.

This all sounds too good to be true and you might seem excited about it now and question why did they not announce this sooner like Verizon?

Well, infact a lot of things come into play when making announcements about 5G prematurely. We won't see the true speeds and effects of 5G network speeds until at least 2020 stated by a CTIA panel in washington last week.

What does this mean for AT&T’s plan for 5G? This is a similar scenario to another company Sprint where they put tremendous focus into adopting newly developed 4G network speeds years ago when nobody really picked up on it which could be detrimental to AT&T if the same scenario occurs again.

For consumers you might want to ask yourselves the hard hitting questions. Is 5G going to be affordable when it releases? Is it gonna support previous outdated phones? Will it have a large impact on battery life? Will it even be worth it? unfortunately for the idea of 5G network speeds there is still a lot left to figure out and understand.

New 5 Dimensional chip said to be able to store whole human history

A new type of data storing was presented by a team of scientists at the University of Southampton's Optoelectrics Research Centre. This chip is said to be able to hold information using 5 dimensions. First data is encoded via dots on a silica glass chip using extremely fast and intense pulses of light to alter the nano-structure of the chip. The dots are then stacked and when aligned, is no thicker than the width of a human hair. Each dot is said to be able to hold 3 individual bits of information. The intensity and wave pattern of the laser adds the 2 additional dimensions.

Although this type of data storage is shocking, it in-fact is not what caused the team to gain international fame amongst data specialists. What was revolutionary was the capacity and resilience of the chip used to store the information. The chip is said to be able to remain stable at degrees up to 1,000 Celsius, and would survive for 13.8 billion years at 190 Celsius. Researchers claim that each chip, which is about the size of a quarter, is capable of holding up to 360 terabytes of data.

In other words, considering an e-book is around 2megabytes, a chip the size of a quarter could hold 180million books, but according to google, only 130million books have ever been written, therefore effectively proving that the entire recorded human history could be stored on a single chip.

On February 11th 2016, factmag.com reported that SoundCloud has taken a huge loss. SoundCloud brought in $17m in the year 2014, but lost around $44m at the same time.
SoundCloud managed to raise $77m in investments in the year 2015.
Reporters say that SoundCloud may have to find another stream for money to come from or the site may have to shut down.
In a statement given to FACT, SoundCloud said that the figures “reflect those of a company in a strong growth stage,” which still has “over 18 million creators are using the platform, sharing well over 110 million tracks, and reaching 175 million monthly active listeners.”

A news story was published yesterday stating that the astronauts from the Apollo 10 mission claimed to hear “outer-space type music” when they were on the other side of the moon.
The conversations recorded mentioning the weird outer-space noises in 1969 were archived and considered classified information.
The tapes were not unearthed until the year 2008.

On Friday 19th February, Kanye was signing autographs for his fans when two photographers broke out into a physical altercation.
Kanye was seen breaking up the fight between the photographers saying “woah man, woah man” and then after the fight was over, he smiled into the cameras to continue signing autographs for his fans.

Mentally ill man living a fantasy as a ‘Little Sister’
Stefonknee Wolscht, a father of seven from Canada, “discovered” that he was not a adult male but in fact he was actually a six year old little girl. He is currently 52 years old and ever since he was around the age of 46 this is the life he has been living, or should I say “she” has been living.

You might ask what would cause this, a very rare case of mental derangement. The LGBT, lesbian, day, bisexual, and transgender, community is embracing his acts and thinks it is honorable.

He believes the right thing to do was to leave his current wife and children, he stated that continuing to live his current life as a male would be like “trying to stop being 6 foot 2.” His wife gave him the choice to either cut out the act or leave. After he came out to the public as a female little girl, Wolscht was adopted by a family that is accepting of him; his new family has their own little girl who often treats Wolscht as a little girl.

Wolscht states that he is “comfortable” in his new family and that he is very happy that he can be allowed to live as a little girl now and have it be accepted. This rare case of his mental derangement seems to be a story right out of a mental asylum, if you told me that I would believe it. His wife and other family members think what he is doing is very “selfish and unhinged” for a grown man to be doing this. In his defence he thinks he is a little girl and not a grown man. The LGBT community continues to support him and he plans to live out his life with his new family.

More than 100 dismembered bodies found in Colombian prison drain pipe

On wednesday 17th of february more than a 100 dismembered bodies were discovered in the drain pipes of one of the largest prisons in Bogota and it’s surrounding jails. The exact amount is currently unknown, but they have counted over 100 dismembered bodies. An investigator named Caterina Heyck told the News agency “Remains of prisoners, visitors and others were thrown in the draining system.”
It has been reported that the bodies were dismembered between 1999 and 2001 and have even been described “people from outside the prisons who were thrown into the sewage.”

Colombian prisons are some of the most overcrowded prisons and they can also be very violent. Many rival gangs are in the same prisons, once prisoners were reportedly seen fighting with guns and even explosives, the riot police was called to stop the inmates. The brutal fight left eight inmates killed and another 12 injured.That just goes to show how brutal the prisons can be.

Nope, only those sections listed.

Besides, that section is tiny... only 4 threads. In fact, the Other MMORPG Section isn't as active as other sections which just makes the need of more minions minuscule. The moderator of that section, Yamiez, is more than capable of handling it
