I feel like that is almost the point. He has confidence or he wouldn't have produced this at all. I see exactly where you're coming from but I think that just correlates with the vibe of the song. Starting out kind of shy or starting out kind of stand offish isn't a bad thing at all in the context of the song.

You actually hit the nail on the head hahaha. I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses but all of the similar type of 'rap' songs I've made are the same in that way. I kinda used it in this song to emphasize the emotion. I'm dead inside kinda feeling.
