I have the same cpu and gpu and I run 5 multis hahahaha. I am watching twitch on the other monitor which takes up about 15%
As everyone knows, rotmg doesn't take up much CPU % at all, so what do you guys with your high end rigs do with all that spare %?
In work at the moment, but my new rig is waiting at home ready to be fitted, overclocking it to 4GHz then going to run 16 multis and use them to pot up all the random useless accounts I have.
So, to elaborate on my question, if you run a multibox - What CPU / GPU combo are you running, how many multis do you run, and what is your preffered set up of chars/gear?
i5 6600k 4GHz
GTX 980
Doesn't seem like a very worthwhile upgrade, did you even notice any difference during games? your old rig should have ran most modern games without problems.
Also, did you notice that you could run much more multis? the i5 6600k should allow you to run way over 10, running twitch or not
Well I upgraded mostly so that I could give my brother my old computer. Well when I open the software it recommends that I run 4 clients since that is how many cores I have. I did 5 because I thought I could handle a bit more than it says. I felt some lag when I was in fame train with twitch on and I was on about 95-100% but now that you noticed it I looked into options and noticed I have shadows on, idk how much that does tho. Should I have hardware acceleration on or off? and is there any more optimizations I can do to run 10?
I also only have 8 gigs of ram.

You CANNOT run 16 clients well with any current consumer grade CPU without modding the renderer to draw less/nothing. A lot of people think they can, but they haven't gone into a shatters. CPU usage in the nexus or in the godlands is really irrelevant.
