Question about Steam VAC Ban

Is there any chance of getting banned from steam games that don't have the in the store page?

What about games like for example Smite, it doesn't have the VAC enabled, at least it seems on the store page. However Hi-Rez Studio probably has their own anti-cheat system, so is there still any chance of getting on steam profile?

A game like Smite you get a Game Ban, which the developers tell vac about detection of you and they ban you for it.

It's possible to get a game ban if the game has it's own anti-cheat but I don't know to many that do have it.
