I thought he would still part of the main crew. In the manga, they were trying to go into the dark world/world they never explored. They need his power and fast adaptability.

No? All he did was prevent him from dieing. Gon still can't use Nen, as stated by his Dad and just general knowledge.

Nah he doesn't have any Nen but I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow gets it back through training or something

The issue with doing that is it makes the sacrifice less dramatic and honestly bad writing. You don't make a character accept death and sacrifice his future as a Hunter to kill someone, then they magically get it back through "training." It's possible they could find something on the Dark Continent, but that's as far as acceptable goes.

Meh i don't know if I want to continue the manga, I mean the character are just too young for my taste. I used to like the show when I was more so around the same age as the characters but I just cannot amuse myself with it anymore. Also I feel gon never fitted in as a mc, but as you said if he is not the main character then I might see if i can enjoy it without feeling like it's for kids (i know there is lot of gore and killing but still)

Honestly I don't see Gon being part of the dark continent arc.

He lost his nen but Ging mentions that there is a "price to pay" to get it back.(which seems reasonable given alluka/it exist.).


I think the reason Gon has this disability given alluka is to
A) Show the similarities between him and chrolo when that fight comes
B) Make sure he's not in the dark continent, because everyone would just be expecting him to go "all out" when cornered the whole time.
(this would be terrible writing haphazard)

Meh i don't know if I want to continue the manga, I mean the character are just too young for my taste. Plus compared to all the other characters gon's powers were a little forced imo.

That was kind of the point. Gon was so furious at losing Kite -he's alive, but not mentally alive if you will- and himself for being weak that he was prepared to kill Pitou, no matter what the consequences was.

All i see gon as is a peak level human combatant.

Except he couldn't even touch Pitou without basically DIEING.

If anything, Netero was the pinnacle of humans. The guy was extremely old and spent years of his life throwing punches.
