Hey I am on Xbox one and I heard on leak forums of a guy who called up rockstar support and said that he lost all of his cars in GTA 5 and heaps of other stuff and they put in game currency into his account. Has anyone tried this??
Right, i mean if your garage got emptied as a result of a server-side FU - then you can argue a point with R* knowing they have the means to track what was 'stored' and purchase history, so it's possible to get a legit recovery of some sort (mind you, it's more likely to be restored to last recorded pre-fault garage state than money given).
But it's highly unlikely/improbable that a random unsubstantiated claim would get you anywhere - hell, any idiot/leech/lazy-ass could try that and only an absolute idiot would take it on face value and pay out in-game currency as a fix.
However, i'm not going to 'taint' any of my XB1/PS3 (the odds are, if it was valid, it wouldn't be just XB1 specific) accounts testing the theory out.
I've tried it with the Franken Stäge.
Made a support ticket and said that the car disappeared in my garage. I need to prove it with screenshots and they gave me 200k$ and the car.
For some reason they have put the car twice on my second character which is level 6 or so.
Now i got the Franken Stäge on my main character 1x and on my 2nd character 2 times.
It takes a bit untill rockstar answers the ticket, but it works. Maybe not with all the garage cars, but with only some cars.
It does work, I have tried it on XBOX One. I basically told them my Zentorno disappeared. This is just simple Social Engineering.
R* doesn't give a shit about their customers, therefore they would never do what you are suggesting. They hang up on customers who call them for fuck sake...
Social Engineering only works on companies such as Amazon who actually care about their customers satisfaction.
Don't work they patched it
