To answer for OP. Yes they work for 25 off coupon. They only work in-store. And you cannot buy power up rewards items. Besides the coupons or the voucher for a ps4 or xbox one controller.

If you try you will just use up the points and get nothing out of it. Needs a 2nd authorization.
