Gaming Keyboard question

Hello MPGH ,

So I just bought the K95 Corsair Gaming keyboard and it's my first gaming keyboard ever.


Anyways Would like to ask how I can use the extra keys at the side ( G1- G18 ) to play games .

Like I enter a game , go to its settings , and keybind those G keys as actions .. Like extra keys and not macros . When I try to do that , The Key isnt recognized . Any programs that can do that for me ?? I already installed the keyboard drivers.

there you will be able to progam and configure what you want your keys to do

(like if you press G1 i will simulate A then 5 sec after B then 4 S ..etc)

Let me see if I can't help you out.
Normally it should be as easy as going inside the game you're trying to use it in, change the keys by pressing.
If that doesn't work, as I don't own that model I can't tell you specifically. But I know that some keyboards have an extra key to enable these extra keys, if you do have one of those then try activating it then doing what I mentioned above.

In case you've already tried those, do you have any feedback from those keys?

yeah I already did that .. I went into the Division and Key bindings .. tried to change some keys to the G buttons but the game doesn't detect it

Could it be that the game doesn't yet support that keyboard? Do you get any feedback from these buttons anywhere else?

I've only heard well about that keyboard, hopefuly you can resolve the problems asap, I have Razer Blackwidow and I can't say a single bad thing about their drivers and support.

Razer prompted me to register my keyboard with their software upon plugging it in (Razer Deathstalker). Did your Corsair one not do that? If not, it's possible that there is software for corsair on the corsair website. I'd give it a look.

Off topic: What is the actual keyboard itself like? I got the deathstalker because the keyboard is similar to the Leonovo Slim USB keyboard I use at work and I can get upwards of 140WPM typing on it, so I just stuck with the same design instead of going for a mechanical.

To your first answer, its no.. Macro keys in any games, G on Crosair keyboard and M for Razer, are NOT detected in video games, no matter what game it is, its not detected or cannot be used, only way you can use is when assigning another key with it, that's the only way I have found a way.
