He is not a player you'd start your team with. It's like they say, if you were a pickup game between Kobe(prime), Lebron(Prime), Curry(Prime) to start your team with. Curry would more than likely be the third choice easily. He's had only 2-good seasons and it only started after they assembled an almost OP team.

If you put a half decent team around him you can build at least a team that consistently gets to the conference championship, and possibly wins a few rings. I would probably choose LeBron over Curry because he is literally a package of everything at the highest level, but I would definitely pick Curry over Kobe.

No, he wasn't even relevant until they picked up some above-average players(such as Iguodala/Livingston) and so forth.

His team is stacked, Golden state's bench can probably be a whole another team. On the other hand, Kobe took pau gasol and a bunch of no-named players and beat the almost unstoppable big 3 of the celtics(Allen/Pierce/Garnett) or Lebron James single took a team full of nobodies to the Finals/Almost beat Golden state literally by himself. I'm not saying he sucks or anything, he's good but he needs a team around him.
