Changing skins in demos?

I'm trying to figure out how to change skins in GOTV/POV demos without editing items_game.txt as I'd like to chear wear and seed values. Regular skinchangers don't work for demos, the game just craches.

I have tried to find some information in the demos files but had no luck. Another tought was to check if the adresses are different while playing the demo.

Anyone got an idea?
