A few pointers.
Understand the difference between "remaking RotMG" and "making a new game relevant to RotMG's mechanics". RotMG has a design that you have to understand in both intention and execution to even begin to recreate it, and if you feel that you must strive away from the core parts that make it RotMG, you are making a new game.
If you've just been making pserver edits, you are very likely to not be in any shape or experience to create or remake a game from the ground up. This takes more than just a good amount of coding experience, it also takes a good sense of player psychology and a mind willing to experiment.
For those who wish to build an multiplayer structure, strong networking knowledge is required to get anywhere. For those who wish to create a single-player game, understand that the client will handle the full load of everything, so a good eye on optimization of graphics will help.
This is also a big STOP sign for those wishing to move from coding/editing pservers to creating a full-on game. Put some research (I mean a lot actually) into what you plan to make, and the costs of it in the long run. Seriously. These things are not easy to make decently.
For the people who have already done their research and checked on their skills, good luck! You can always reach out beyond MPGH once your project gains ground, and chances are you'll be much more likely to find eligible people out on the wide web then you will on a hackers' forum.

basically just watch a bunch of Extra Credits youtube vids and watch a lot of youtubers and their reactions to actions in the game
a good example is watching players play Dark Souls since its a good balance between Hard and Punishing which is one of the topics Extra Credits touches on...they actually helped me alot in making my game balanced XD I do love hard games
and I remember a good site with a few game devs talking about game making but I forgot the name of it...it was like dream or something
and you got to let them inspire...this post is just scary lol you might scare them away before they even think about making one..atleast tell them to try before they die in a fiery pit of disappointment

They can definitely try small projects like simple Flashes or short proof-of-concept type games anytime, but RotMG is a game of a size that requires planning and proper execution before they die in an even more fiery pit of disappointment after screwing up due to bad preparedness.

but RotMG itself is not that Big...it may seem at first but with dedication, time, and of course knowledge you can simply break down the subjects into sub subjects just like forums have sub threads but to a person who is doing simple edits or is barely scratching the surface of advanced and expert coding(which requires you to remember most commands out of the countless thousands and millions that can be created) even when I first went indepth in the Rust coding or Combat Arms I can clearly see the difference in the amount of time and skill that was poured into the project/game and even then it was only made possible by the intelligence and forward planning of the developers...even I at points have to rewrite large amounts of coding due to 1 mistake and It takes forever just to edit it so it will fit in and just that single mistake tells me that I cannot solo large projects then what I am making currently because the amount of planning, processing, and just the raw amount of coding I would have to type would be more then enough to type a 20 page essay not to mention when I am researching algorithms for mathematical equations that I need for some of the items in the game it can take up to hours finding the right one that will fit the bill and if I cannot find one I usually have to discuss with some of the developers I talk with when they are free because the algorithm has to be build from raw calculated statistical math with multiple storage points to ensure that I get the same effect no matter how many times I do it and no matter how long it is there for...and that's just the physics of the game to build the actual game process is harder then that...
But i cannot continue typing this because I hurt my hand about 30 mins ago and it hurts typing...and yes it was a pain to type this

when they say "remaking rotmg" majority mean making a pixel mmorpg lol but they have to say remaking rotmg otherwise its not relevant on this forum's section
they could just say RotMG based game...or Game based off of RotMG...i think that would do...for the discussion page of course

Are there really that many other people trying to make a game like rotmg? I know a lot of people think they can do it, but when you get down to it, it's a lot of work to make rotmg from the bottom up if you're including a lot of the features present in prod. I want to remake realm because I have loved the game mechanics and the pretty much the game concept (plus I have the knowledge required to do it), but the game isn't fun anymore as items are worthless, and everyone has everything. Plus no one really develops for realm anymore, Kabam isn't as involved in realm as Wild Shadow was.
