You do care, you care about whether you get 'Thanks' or not. Either way, it's fine.

The people who thank you acknowledges and appreciates your contribution or valid points made in a post.
Right now, all you are going to get from now on is probably people saying "thanks man" because you asked for the opposite.

When you perform an act of kindness, you should not expect anything in return. That way you will feel better and you have nothing to worry about.
However, if you perform an act of kindness only for the purpose of having a reward, then that's not what we call helping.
That is what we call an exchange of goods. Lol!
