everytime i try to open up MW2 it says "fatal error, steam need to be running to play this game"

It's working for me, except I'm pretty sure I'm on a cracked server. TDM score limit was 12000....

Version number says .175. That's probably why no one gets into official servers.
Is this possible to update(edit: I mean update the crack)?

i did everything now im getting this,

ok my advice for everyone whos getting error is this: 1.st Delete all files from zero gear server. 2nd copy all mw2 fils in there, after u have done this paste the overwrite the crack in there(the one is posted here) and your done. dont forget to change the zero gear.bat file to run mw2. should work

i think i had that. btw when does it come on? after joining the game or when?

i start the game and 5 seconds later comes the error on the console and the game crashes down ... maybe 7 seconds ...
