best screen recorder?!?

trying to find the best screen recorder. i have tried that "ice cream" software. I was recommend it by a friend, but it has a lost of color.

anyone know a great screen recorder free or not free i don't care. just need some help. I have Camtasia for nurture reference.

Never recorded anything with it, just played around with a cracked version. What I can say is that if offers a variety of functions..whatsoever there has been a database leak last year
