Kind of like an escrow?

An Escrow system would be great. "I know there's middlemen" but this would be 100% different

This is how I see it: A trader gives money to admins before being able to do any trades, and in case that trader ever goes evil and decides to scam, the money that trader gave to the admins will be used to refund the people the trader scammed

This is how I respond: Pointless, let's say I give Liz $100, and I scam someone $200, then Liz gives that person my $100 that I gave her, they still lose $100, now let's say I give Liz $100, and I scam $100, and Liz refunds the user their full $100, I still gave Liz $100 and eventually later on in the future I scam $100 meanwhile I could have just had Liz give it back, therefore I get no profit + a perma ban.

It sounds like a deposit, but it may make things more safer for a user, but people may file false reports to scam someone from the deposit. Even then, it can be used maliciously as in here I deposited $200, I'm a safe trader, now I'll go scam $1000.

Still this is about the idea, making it flawless would be on developing it.

Yeah, people here saying $200 is to much but the right scammer would do it with out hesitating and scam for xtimes that price they sent.

It makes sense in theory, but in actuality it would never work. I would like more badges for donating more though so I can grow my e-peen that extra inch.

This system would mainly benefit traders in which you could donate $200 and you would have a $200 tag, if you were to scam the $200 would go towards refunding people and if you wanted too you could take back a portion of it within 3 days or so to make sure you don't scam a shit ton of people then just take the money back and run.

Just a thought, had an idea that could work for a few months. I'm sure this has come up before and probably been denied but I think it would work better than the current system which has 0 refunds if a trader scams.

Just open up a MPGH Middleman Section.... Much more easier, elect people who are willing to work and of cours trusted, and maybe get a bit portion out of it. Like escrow, but escrow and reputation together.

That's always going to happen? I could get 10 vouches and scam a $100 trade on multiple accounts at once, scamming is inevitable, this just makes it so the person doesn't lose as much as they would have.

Depositing money would not make someone more trusted therefore it shouldn't have an effect on the trade value. Also I never see big trades going on around MPGH other than sometimes within the marketplace where it only really reaches $300, all of the main scams are of values at around $100 and lower.

That's why I think it would be beneficial considering 99% of scam reports are low amounts. Some people would lose out as always
